We are seeking an Engineering Lead to spearhead the design, assembly, and optimization of a portable quantum sensor. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in quantum sensing, precision instrumentation, and systems integration, and will be responsible for driving the system from prototype through controlled testing and field deployment.
What You’ll Do:

Lead system architecture, hardware assembly, and integration of optics, electronics, and control systems for high-sensitivity quantum sensing.

Develop and optimize control software, signal processing, and data acquisition workflows.

Oversee design validation, calibration, and environmental performance testing of the sensor.

Manage technical roadmap, milestones, and reporting, ensuring all deliverables meet performance and reliability targets.

Supervise sourcing, system design, and documentation efforts, ensuring efficient collaboration between research, manufacturing, and management functions.
Who you are:

Advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in sensors, precision measurement systems, or experimental quantum technologies (Ph.D. experience counts toward total).

Proficiency in signal processing, control systems, data acquisition, and optics/electronics integration.

Demonstrated experience with hardware assembly, optical alignment, and instrument control software.

Strong project management and communication skills, with ability to lead cross-functional technical teams.
Compensation:

Compensation: $100,000-$120,000
