Do you love making complex concepts sound simple and exciting? WISER is partnering with the Elevate Quantum Consortium to inspire the next generation of quantum leaders across Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico. We’re looking for a Science Communication & Outreach Coordinator to help bring the fascinating world of quantum to life for K-12 and college students.

What You’ll Do:

• Translate complex quantum ideas into engaging stories, visuals, and activities that spark curiosity.

• Build relationships with schools, teachers, counselors, and student groups.

• Create career pathway materials that show students how they can find opportunities in the quantum field.

• Design spotlight features highlighting inspiring students, educators, and community champions.

• Support and deliver “Teach the Teacher” modules to help educators bring quantum concepts into their classrooms.

• Provide operational support for summer programs and local Elevate Quantum events.

• Assist with enrollment in digital quantum courses (MOOCs).

What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for science communication and interest in quantum information sciences.

• Strong communication and storytelling skills.

• Experience in outreach, education, or creating educational content is a plus.

• Organized, proactive, and excited to work with students, teachers, and community partners.

• Location: Based in Denver/Boulder preferred; travel across Colorado required.

• Part-time or full-time hours available.

 

Compensation:

•  Salary commensurate with experience.
