Before diving into the projects, please carefully read and adhere to the following rules and guidelines. These instructions aim to provide clarity and structure for the project period, from team formation to submission and final judgment.

Eligibility
Who Can Participate?

To take part in the WISER Quantum Projects, you must be successfully enrolled in the Womanium & WISER 2025 Quantum Program.
-
We welcome participants from all nationalities, genders, and age groups. The program is designed to be inclusive and global, encouraging collaboration across:

University students (undergraduate, masters, PhD, PostDocs)

Early career professionals

Researchers and scientists

Industry practitioners exploring quantum

Lifelong learners & career changers

Code of Conduct
-
Maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct throughout the project period. Any form of cheating, harassment, or misconduct will result in disqualification and may lead to a ban from future events. Maintain professionalism and respect in all interactions with fellow participants and the WISER team.

Respect intellectual property rights. Ensure that all work submitted is original and properly referenced if using third-party resources. Plagiarism or the use of unauthorized material will result in immediate disqualification.

Adhere strictly to all deadlines. Late submissions will not be accepted.

The projects are suggested and supported by WISER's partner organizations. However, participation in these projects does not imply any association with WISER's partner organizations.

Participation in this project in no way guarantees any grants or fellowships from WISER or partner organizations. Grants and fellowships will be granted only to the best participants, as determined solely by WISER.

By participating in the Womanium & WISER 2025 Quantum Projects, you agree to comply with all the rules and guidelines outlined above.

You may only use the WISER logo when publicly sharing your participation in the challenge. Industry partner logos may not be used unless specific permission is granted.

Remember, each project has unique deliverables and guidelines for successful submission; please read these carefully before selecting a project.

You may participate in more than one project.
Team Formation
-
Network with fellow participants over Zoom and on Discord ("team-formation-for projects" channel) to find your perfect team.
-
The maximum team size for each project is 3 participants.
-
You may participate individually, but we strongly encourage team participation for healthy collaborations!
Project Work Period
-
Work on your team project from July 1, 2025 to August 9, 2025.
-
Fork/duplicate the repository of your selected project. This forked/duplicated repository will be referred to as your "Team repository".
-
Ensure your repository is PUBLIC at the time of submission for judging purposes. All work inside your team repository will be considered the final submission for the project.
-
Your team repository must contain a ‘Read-me’ file with the following information:

All 3 team members’ Name & WISER Enrollment ID

A 500-word summary of your project

Project Presentation deck
-

Repositories with incomplete information will be disqualified.
-
Ensure your repository does not contain any personal or team tokens/access information to access backends.

Ensure your repository does not contain any third-party intellectual property (logos, company names, copied literature, or code). Any resources used must be open-source or properly referenced.
Project Submission Requirements

Public GitHub Repository with a clean and comprehensive ‘Read-me’ file.
-
Upload your final project deck and link it clearly on your GitHub project repository.
-
Submit the GitHub submission link (public link of your Team repository) on Canvas.
-
Video Recording (Optional): You may also upload a short recording (max 3 minutes) of your team presenting the project on GitHub. This helps us better understand your delivery and narrative.
-
Time Limit: All presentations (whether recorded or live) must be no longer than 3 minutes.
-
Finalist Selection: A selection committee will review all submissions and invite top teams to present during Demo Day. This is a high-visibility opportunity to share your work with partners, mentors, and the global quantum community.
Important points to keep in mind before submitting

Do not modify your team repository after August 10. Any modifications after the submission deadline may lead to disqualification.

Ensure your GitHub repository is set to public.
-
All participants must individually submit the Canvas quiz.f you participated in multiple projects, you should submit the GitHub link for all projects in the same Canvas quiz under respective project sections. Do NOT submit the Canvas quiz multiple times. Only the latest quiz submission will be considered for evaluation.

Please ensure you follow all the rules and guidelines for participation. Double-check that no third-party logo/code/literature/image is included in your repo before submission. Any plagiarism detected will lead to disqualification.

Include the WISER logo (Download Logos) on every slide.

Mention “WISER Quantum Project” on each slide.

Do not use third-party images or logos unless properly referenced and permitted.

Keep slides visually clean: use minimal text, high contrast, and consistent design.
Tips to Create an Outstanding Presentation
-
Be clear and concise: Your audience should understand your project in under 3 minutes.
-
Keep visuals simple: Use charts, icons, or screenshots, and avoid clutter.
-
Stick to a consistent visual theme: Font size, colors, layout, consistency equals professionalism.
-
Rehearse: Practice with a timer. Stay within 3 minutes and pace yourself.
-
Tell a story: Lead with curiosity, show your method, and end with insight.
Demo Day
-
Finalists present 5-minute project deck on August 25, 2025. A panel of judges, including industry, academic, and government experts, will be in attendance.
-
Winners are announced shortly after the Demo Day.
QSL Fellowships and Future Opportunities
-
Quantum Solutions Launchpad is a unique program to work on real-world quantum applications under the mentorship of WISER team, collaborating with leading organisations. All fellowships are paid, remote and part-time, allowing all to gain experience and launch their Quantum careers.

The best participants from the projects will be shortlisted for Womanium QSL fellowships with Industry partners.
-
Participants are shortlisted for QSL fellowships on the basis of successful project submission, Technical Merit, Novelty, Communication and Presentation Skills.
