WISER Quantum
and AI Program 2026
This WISER Quantum + AI Optimization Intensive brings together three powerful computing paradigms, classical, quantum, and artificial intelligence, to tackle real-world optimization, decision, and scheduling problems at scale.
Participants will explore how each approach contributes unique strengths to solving complex optimization challenges: the scalability of classical HPC systems, the emerging potential of quantum hardware for certain problem structures, and the adaptive learning capabilities of AI. The curriculum moves from foundational theory to production-grade tools, with hands-on experience building hybrid workflows.

Program Agenda
With WISER’s Solutions Launchpad, you don’t have to wait years for university partnerships or academic approvals to take shape. We move fast - helping you scope your problem, define the work plan, and begin research in as little as three months.
Week 1
Combinatorial Optimization
Overview of classical methods (linear programming, branch and bound), QUBO formulation, and learning heuristics.
Week 2
Industry Applications
A look at industry applications and a numerical optimization bootcamp.
Week 3
Constrained Optimization
Classical approaches (SDP, ADMM, KKT), handling constraints in QAOA, and quantum SDP solvers.
Week 4
Panel Discussions
Focus on industry applications and panel discussions with experts.
Week 5
Stochastic Optimization
Bayesian optimization, sampling approaches in quantum, stochastic QAOA, and portfolio optimization.
Week 6
Large-Scale Optimization
Bridging AI/Quantum/HPC, circuit optimization (ZX calculus), and software implementation pipelines.
Week 7-9
Projects & Hackathon
Apply your knowledge to real-world challenges in our capstone project phase.
