Do you love making complex concepts sound simple and exciting? WISER is partnering with INCLUDE, part of the Elevate Quantum Consortium, to inspire the next generation of quantum leaders across Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico. We’re looking for a Science Communication & Outreach Coordinator to help bring the fascinating world of quantum to life for community college students and adult learners, a diverse group balancing studies, work, and family while pursuing certificates, associate degrees, or transfer pathways. Your role will be to make quantum accessible, relevant, and inspiring for students who represent an important part of the future quantum workforce.


What You’ll Do:

  • Work with the head of programs to turn complex quantum ideas into clear, relatable stories, visuals that connect with students from all backgrounds and levels of science experience.

  • Create career pathway guides that show how skills in quantum link to real jobs, transfer opportunities, and certificates across fields like IT, and advanced manufacturing.

  • Spotlight students, educators, and local champions whose journeys reflect the diversity and resilience of the community college experience.

  • Support program head with content for the website and its management as well as social media and periodic newsletters.

  • Provide on-the-ground and behind-the-scenes support for summer programs and Elevate Quantum community events, making them welcoming and accessible for all learners.

  • Help students enroll in digital quantum courses (MOOCs) and provide guidance on how these courses fit into their broader academic or career goals.​

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for science communication and interest in quantum information sciences.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.

  • Experience in outreach, education, or creating educational content is a plus.

  • Organized, proactive, and excited to work with students, teachers, and community partners.

  • Location: Based in Denver/Boulder preferred; travel across Colorado and New Mexico required.

  • Part-time or full-time hours available.

 

Compensation:

  •  Salary commensurate with experience.
