Job Description:
WISER is seeking a Network Security Architect to assess and develop secure enterprise network architectures as part of post-quantum security and modernization programs. This role focuses on CDN/WAF, load balancers, ingress, VPN, proxy, TLS inspection, ZTNA, and network interconnects, with an emphasis on identifying cryptographic dependencies and developing actionable migration strategies.
Why Join WISER?
Join a growing organization working at the intersection of quantum technology and cybersecurity. You'll help leading organizations understand their current security posture, identify quantum-related risks, and develop practical roadmaps for becoming quantum-ready.
What You'll Do:
Network Security Architecture
- Lead network security architecture assessments across enterprise and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Assess edge/CDN/WAF, load balancers, ingress, API gateways, VPN, proxy, ZTNA, and TLS inspection infrastructure.
- Map TLS stacks, cipher suites, certificates, and cryptographic dependencies.
- Identify RSA/ECDH and other quantum-vulnerable dependencies within network infrastructure.
Assessment & Migration
- Assess remote access, site-to-site connectivity, secure web gateway, and TLS interception architectures.
- Evaluate network segmentation, access controls, and Zero Trust architectures.
- Identify downgrade paths, legacy dependencies, and security risks.
- Assess vendor capabilities and PQC readiness.
- Develop target-state network security architectures and migration roadmaps.
Client & Technical Leadership
- Work closely with PQC, PKI/IAM, cloud security, and network engineering teams.
- Develop architecture diagrams, technical findings, remediation recommendations, and executive summaries.
- Lead technical workshops with client network and security teams.
- Review technical evidence and findings for quality and completeness.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, network security, or security architecture.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise networking and security architecture.
- Strong experience with TLS, VPN, proxies, firewalls, load balancers, CDN/WAF, API gateways, and network security controls.
- Experience with Zero Trust/ZTNA and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Understanding of cryptographic dependencies in network infrastructure.
- Experience assessing security architectures and developing target-state designs.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. U.S. citizenship is not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with post-quantum cryptography and crypto-agility.
- Financial-services or other regulated-industry experience.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with NIST or other cybersecurity frameworks.
- Relevant network or security certifications.
