Job Description:
WISER is seeking a Web, Mail & Proxy Security Engineer to assess and strengthen security across enterprise web, email, proxy, DNS, and internet-facing infrastructure. This role will identify security and cryptographic dependencies across internet-facing services and support organizations in preparing their infrastructure for quantum-safe security.

What You'll Do:
Web & Internet Security
- Assess web, mail, proxy, DNS, and internet-facing security infrastructure.
- Evaluate WAF, CDN, reverse proxy, secure web gateway, and mail security architectures.
- Assess HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP/TLS, DNS, certificates, and related security configurations.
- Identify cryptographic dependencies and legacy algorithms.
Security Assessment
- Review TLS policies, cipher suites, certificate lifetimes, and certificate-management practices.
- Assess web and email security controls and identify gaps.
- Assess internet-facing applications and services.
- Evaluate vendor technology roadmaps and PQC readiness.
- Support cryptographic discovery and inventory activities.
- Contribute data to CBOM and security-risk analysis.
Engineering & Delivery
- Test and validate recommended security configurations.
- Work with network architects, security engineers, and PQC specialists on remediation strategies.
- Document technical findings, risks, dependencies, and recommended improvements.
- Contribute to client reports, technical workshops, and remediation roadmaps.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in web security, network security, infrastructure security, or related areas.
- Hands-on experience with WAF, CDN, reverse proxies, secure web gateways, email security, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and TLS.
- Strong understanding of web and email security architecture.
- Experience with PKI, certificates, encryption, and authentication.
- Experience assessing enterprise internet-facing infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and API security.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and documentation skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. U.S. citizenship is not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography and cryptographic migration.
- Experience with enterprise email security platforms.
- Experience with SIEM, logging, monitoring, or vulnerability management.
- Experience with CBOM or cryptographic inventory.
- Financial-services or other regulated-industry experience.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications.
